Fantasy and Sci Fi stories frequently require a lot of explanation before their settings begin to make sense. How do the best writers handle the loads of exposition necessary to make their worlds seem natural? How does the kind of story you're writing influence your choices in this regard? Do you prefer big expository paragraphs, or the slow reveal? Our panelists will discuss their favorite (and least favorite) techniques for immersing readers in a whole new world.
