Slan at Seventy

Hi, all,

Seventy years ago marks the first hardcover publication of the first novel by SF pioneer A.E. van Vogt, Slan. Telling a story of genocide and superhumans, Slan bears obvious influence from Nazi dehumanization of the Jews and others, and it has greatly encouraged the writing careers of no less than Philip K. Dick and Harlan Ellison. Many fans have also embraced Slan's tale of alienation and isolation. Come celebrate the anniversary of one of the ushers of the Golden Age of Science Fiction with Arisia, and here's to another seven decades!
