Stephen King's Renaissance

Hi, all,

{This panel idea was inspired by something an audience member said at the In Which the Author Has Run Out of F!?ks to Give panel this year, for the record.}

Not so long ago, it seemed as if Stephen King's oeuvre had gone off the rails. His novels had sustained less enthusiasm and begun to have a dire need for a decent editor. Then in 2011, King released 11/22/63, and all of a sudden he fell back into the groove. Since then, King has completed The Dark Tower, released a critically acclaimed sequel to The Shining, and begun a new, likewise critically acclaimed, hard-boiled crime trilogy. Is all forgiven? How do we explain this change? Do we even want to, and just bask in the return of a master? Come discuss this topic with Arisia, and we'll make sure to leave the lights on.
