It Was Freakier In The 70s: Children's Genre TV

Pufnstuf. Lidsville. The Bugaloos. Land of the Lost. The Kroffts didn't make all of the children's TV in the 1970s, but they surely led the way in sheer unadulaterated freakiness. There was even a cereal named "Freakies", for goodness sake! How did such utterly bizarre stuff get on the air, and could it ever happen again?
