Volunteering Family Style

When trying to volunteer for Arisia, doing so with family can be a challenge. Here’s some ways to contribute to the con, get your hours, and still enjoy your family!

-Pre- or Post-Con Jobs: Search the Arisia Help Wanted (located here: http://2013.arisia.org/helpWanted). On the left-hand side, it lists when the job needs to be performed. Doing things before or after the con will make you available to spend time with your kids during the con.

-Coordinate Schedules: Fit your Volunteer time in when kids are in Fast Track or Turtle Track. Make sure to tell your Area Head that you need to be free when they are.

-Take turns being “Parent on Duty:” If there are two of you, take turns being responsible for the little ones so the other can put in volunteer time

-Volunteer WITH your kids: Check with Turtle Track or Fast Track and see if they need help while your children are attending.

If anything, make sure Staff Services knows you’re looking to help out by filling out the Volunteer Form (http://2013.arisia.org/Volunteer)
